Since 1996, Artiv opened in a small space in Escazú, with the determination to transform the public's perception of industrial and decoration product design. The showroom quickly became known for its product selection and presentations at the Museum of Art and Contemporary Design, in San José, Costa Rica.

Our clients range from highly informed architects and interior designers to students and people with good taste, for Artiv Design Center offers one of the world's most sophisticated selection of contemporary pieces in Central America from some of the greatest designers of the 20th century.

As the shop grew and evolved - expanding to nearly 400 square meters, at the beginning 2003 - the product base also expanded, to include furniture, especially from European manufacturers, lighting, sanitary ware, faucets, kitchens, tableware, office furniture, outdoor furniture and wall and flooring materials.

The furniture and objects offered at the shop are meant to blur the distinctions between production and craft, between industry and art, and more recently, between industrial and decorative arts. You may find, for instance, an Art Deco console, next to a Cappellini white Soft3 sofa, enhanced by a Boffi stainless steel kitchen Case System 5.0. The intention is to force a view of each piece based on the context of its presentation, rather than its function or material.

The showroom is divided in 3 areas:
• One of which one intentionally feels like in an apartment.
• An area designed for the exhibition of the mosaics, sanitary ware and faucets.
• The rest of showroom has some of the most representative pieces of our suppliers.

All our clients are informed about the origin of the product, the designer, manufacturer, materials, process of fabrication and any other relevant information.

We invite you to our world of design.
